Your Captain is a lifetime resident of the area and has over
20+ years of experience on Lake Ontario Ny. Also being docked
at the Lighthouse Marina and going out of the Salmon River's
new harbor means an end of those scary rides through narrow
and shallow harbors.
SEASONS:
Our season begins at ice out which is usually April 1st. Large
catches of Brown Trout grow
up to 20 lbs. The average size brown trout is 5 to 10 lbs.
Rainbow Trout can grow to
be up to 20 lbs., the average size trout is 10 to 15 lbs.
Lake Trout can get as big
as 20 lbs., but the average is 8 to 15 lbs. The season lasts
throughout spring, summer and fall.
Salmon can get as big as
40 lbs., the average salmon is 20 to 30 lbs. Giant Salmon
start to school up around the river mouths around the first
of July. The action gets fast and furious through mid-October.
We also offer Bass fishing charters.
The season begins the 3rd Saturday of June. We can do combination
trips of trout, salmon and bass. It is common to catch our
limits of bass.
